"WILDLIFE ROCKS"
Rock Paintings by Barbara Jean

The wolves in this painting were  in Montana, at a wildlife
rescue, called Montana wildlife.

I love the way the colors of the
rock goes so well with the painting.  I like to study each rock till
the rock its self lets me see
the painting inside of the rock
If you look close you can see the
pups ear reflected in the rock..

This painting is (9"by 6")
In this painting there is so much going on
in the rock that the wolf could only be
standing by watching
This piece is about 4"by 6"
These wolves I can see deep in the woods of northern Yellowstone.
Dense with trees, mountains and
waterfalls. Calling to the other
members of the pack.
I found this picture in a book of
wolves that I really liked. Here,
it's clear, the male is protecting his female. Could be she is heavy with pups. It's hard to see the rocks color in the photo. The colors are very rich in reds, gold with black and white. The same colors as the wolves.

Here again is the same alpha-male wolf with his two pups. I painted this from a photo I took  in Montana. These arecaptive wolves breeding in captivity at the Montana Wildlife rescue. Some of the animals there are used in movies and TV.I was with a group of artist there on a photo shoot.
